They are currently searching for a staff accountant with prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry. Responsibilities
- Prepare all premiums and cash for select programs
- Interact with Underwriters to verify premiums
- Update premiums for all selected programs
- Prepare monthly reinsurance statements
- Prepare manual adjustments for the quarter-end close
- Monthly reconciliations of the sub-ledgers to the General Ledger
- Calculate reinsurance transactions
Qualifications
- Well-versed in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of Great Plains or other cloud ERP systems
- Ability to solve basic and complex problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience
- 1-5 years of accounting experience
- Insurance industry experience strongly preferred
