Oliver James is currently engaged with a prestigious Financial Firm to recruit for a Senior Regulatory Counsel to join the organisation.
This highly visible role will provide regulatory support to the firm globally working closely with the business and business facing legal teams advising the organisation on relevent payment and e-money regulations and guidance.
Leading the development of internal policies and procedures ensuring the business continues to meet their regulatory obligations, you will find that no two days will be quite the same. You can expect but not be limited to the following duties;
- Support and advise the business and product teams on relevant regulatory requirements
- Monitor regulatory developments applicable to the businesses and lead the change management process in relation to those
- Represent the organisation in engagement with rel event stakeholders and regulators
- Instruct & manage external legal counsel.
This role will suit a candidate with the following capabilities
- Minimum 5 years PQE
- excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of the financial regulation arena gained from either in-house or Private Practice.
- Experience within money and/or PSD2 would be a distinct advantage
