Seeking a detail oriented and driven professional to join our team as a Reinsurance Accountant on the Orlando, FL area. Operating on a hybrid schedule starting at $70K.
- Prepare, review, and record reinsurance technical accounts, including but not limited to, commission adjustments, profit commissions, and premium adjustments.
- Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly reports on reinsurance balances.
- Prepare, review, and distribute collateral calculations on unauthorized reinsurers.
- Monitor receipt of collateral, update records, and inform various stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of Schedule F for quarterly and annual statements.
- Support the gathering and delivery of inputs to into planning / forecast / projection pr
- Assist in process improvements.
- To maintain compliance with any applicable US or International statutory or regulatory obligation as required by the role. This includes but not limited to obligations arising from:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
EXPERIENCE
- 3 - 5 years of experience with (re)insurance strongly preferred
- Excellent Excel skills, Microsoft Office competency
- Good knowledge of Insurance and Reinsurance accounting (Statutory Yellow Book reporting)
- Experience with ERP systems
