We have partnered with a reputable financial services firm to look for a Regional Legal Counsel to be a part of their Asia Legal team, working closely with international colleagues and reporting directly to the Head of Legal.
Responsibilities
- Advise and handle all aspects of litigation related matters including advising on policy-related issues
- Identify and review regulations relevant to the business and implement relevant policies, procedures and controls
- Review internal policies and explain their requirements and applicability to the business
- Conducting investigation to legal, compliance and/ or ethics issues
- Support general commercial, corporate and other legal related activities such as employment, intellectual property, real estate, data privacy, etc
- Manage and supervise external counsels on complex legal issues
Requirements
- At least 5 PQE in a law firm or in-house environment with litigation/ dispute resolution background
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is a must
- Ability to draft in Chinese
- Strong team player as well as able to work independently
