Our client is a reputable regional investment bank who is looking for a Legal Counsel to be a part of their Asia Global Markets Legal team.

You will be responsible for:

• Advising and supporting the business on derivative transactions across various Asian jurisdictions
• Draft, negotiate and execute a variety of legal coverage of derivatives related matters such as ISDA Master Agreements, GMRA's, GMSLA, CSA, etc
• Provide counsel and support the implementation of global regulatory developments and their impact on derivatives, this includes but are not limited to Dodd Frank, EMIR, Global Margins, and Clearing and Trade reports - mainly in regions such as Korea, India, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore
• Collaborating with different internal business teams such as Finance, Operations and Risk management to provide regular consultation
• Handle bespoke transactions and projects while engaging with external counsel when necessary

Requirements:

• 4+ PQE in a law firm or reputable financial institution with derivatives background
• Experience with funding projects and understand documentation work
• Fluency in English is a must and additional Asian language is advantageous
