About the Opportunity
A leading global financial institution is seeking an IFRS Business Consultant to join its central finance team. This is a strategic role in which you will develop, maintain, and advise on group-wide accounting policies under IFRS. With direct impact on executive decision-making, you will be part of a specialized team operating at the forefront of financial reporting and regulatory developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor changes in IFRS and evaluate their impact on the organization.
* Draft and implement global accounting policies in compliance with IFRS and Dutch law.
* Advise senior executives and business line leadership on complex accounting topics.
* Support the company's response to international regulatory consultations.
* Represent the organization in discussions with peer institutions and regulators.
* Review and validate financial reporting outputs for regulatory and public disclosures.
* Train internal stakeholders on evolving financial reporting requirements.
* Act as a knowledge hub for IFRS matters across departments.
Who You Are
You are an experienced IFRS expert with a background in financial institutions, ideally banking. You combine deep technical expertise with the communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
You bring:
* Extensive experience applying IFRS within the financial sector
* Strong analytical and advisory capabilities
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
* Confidence, sound judgment, and professionalism when advising at executive level
* Stakeholder management and cross-border collaboration experience
* A global outlook and cultural sensitivity
What's Offered
* Competitive salary up to €9,870 per month (based on 36 hours)
* 13th month and 8% holiday allowance
* Additional savings contribution (3.5% of annual gross salary)
* 36 or 40-hour workweek with flexible hybrid options
