FP&A Lead in Amsterdam

Group Business Control is responsible for group navigation (intelligence, strategic planning, budgets, reporting, review meetings, benchmarking and target setting), and sets the professional standards for the wider finance function. The team advises and supports the Board and the management of operating companies in strategic decision-making, to enhance and sustain the overall and financial performance of the organization, both now and in the future. The department is not directly responsible for financial control and consolidation, including the annual and quarterly reports to the shareholders. This is performed by Group Accounting and Reporting.

The department is managed by the Group Director Business Control (GDBC). The GDBC is second in command and heads up a team of business controllers and the FP&A function. FP&A coordinates the Group planning and control cycle across business controllers, holding companies and operating companies. The GDBC together with FP&A sets the rhythm of the organization from a business control perspective.

The FP&A Lead will be responsible for consolidated group analyses and performance management. Management reporting needs to be standardized and improved further. From a business control perspective the focus is on growth, working capital and operations. Benchmarking opportunities may exist because of the relatively big opco landscape.

The FP&A Lead is the spider in the web and has a lot of direct contact with the GDBC, SMT, Board, directors and CFO's of opco's.

The business controllers in Group Business Control are responsible for the opco's. The FP&A manager and GDBC are provided with detailed opco information from the business controllers in order to perform the consolidation analyses and set targets. The GDBC also gives the business controllers specific focus areas to perform their analyses.
