About the Role
A leading financial services provider is seeking a Senior Data Quality Officer to join their Data Governance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high data quality standards, regulatory compliance (including BCBS 239), and the continuous improvement of the company's data governance framework.
Responsibilities
🔹 Data Quality Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement data quality policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to capture data quality requirements.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239.
- Lead data quality audits and produce reports for senior management.
- Drive the continuous enhancement of governance processes.
🔹 Data Quality Monitoring & Remediation
- Design KPIs and dashboards to track data quality metrics.
- Perform root cause analysis of data issues and oversee remediation plans.
- Establish data controls and validation mechanisms to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to promote data reliability across the organization.
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or a related field within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management (e.g., BCBS 239).
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex data flows.
- Experience with data quality tools and reporting platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is an asset.
