Our client is a reputable multinational corporation who is currently looking for an Associate General Counsel to lead a team of 2-5 people while working closely with the Group General Counsel.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Providing legal advice on corporate, regulatory and compliance related matters such as developing, implementing and managing corporate compliance programmes (including but not limited to, listing rule compliance, sanctions, anti-bribery and more)
- Pro-actively identify, manage and deal with corporate compliance risk across the business and identify areas of continuous improvement
- As the Head of the team, you will be actively encouraging and supporting the development and growth of each member of the team to help them achieve their full potential
- Support the Group General Counsel as well as working closely with other business units to oversee and report material matters related to compliance and other risk to the Board and its committees
What are we looking for:
- Common law qualified solicitor with 10-15 years post qualification experience
- Previous in-house experience is not required by may be preferred
- Fluent in English, Chinese language skills would be an advantage
- Commercially minded and able to make practical evaluation of risks
