To this end, our client are open to considering candidates that are based across a number of locations; London, Birmingham & Manchester (agile / remote working) - salary / packages entirely dependent on experience - £55-120,000 excluding car, bonuses, pension, flexible benefits.

Specifically, our client assists their customer's cyber risk exposure and understand their cyber risk challenges. Often working with the third line of defence (internal audit), this involves working closely with a diverse range of client stakeholders, along with experts from different disciplines (such as IT, Security and HR). Therefore, managing risk and establishing effective cyber security controls are at the heart of what we do in cyber assurance. Our client offers unrivalled depth of experience in providing security governance, risk, control and assurance to clients, with focus a focus on both financial services and corporate and public sectors.

Typically, you will be responsible for:-

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, across a variety of sectors and across various geographical locations.
  • Being the overall lead responsible for the delivery of engagements, delivering client service excellence.
  • Delivering cyber-related assurance engagement, mostly internal audit, along with other types of work such as incident management readiness, third party cyber risk assurance, cyber security policy development.
  • Working seamlessly and collaboratively with colleagues and clients from other service lines.
  • Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Helping to develop the cyber assurance practice, by supporting business development and practice management.

Your CV should demonstrate:-

  • Experience of leading complex cyber risk assurance engagements.
  • Experience of working with internal audit teams, and understanding of internal audit practice and controls.
  • Experience of assessing and reviewing cyber risks and controls.
  • Experience of testing wider, general technology controls.
  • Experience of interacting with senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience of people leadership.
  • A technology, security or privacy related background.
  • Broad range of security experience with a distinct specialism in one or several of the following areas:
    • Cyber strategy and transformation programmes or security change initiatives;
    • Security target operating models;
    • Cyber governance, risk management/assessment and compliance;
    • Third party cyber risk management and assessment;
    • Security architecture and network infrastructure (e.g. firewall rule set review, logging and monitoring capability, network segregation etc.);
    • Security testing process and control (e.g. penetration testing, vulnerability management and red teaming etc.); and
    • Security standards/frameworks (e.g. ISO 270001, IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, NCSC/CPNI SICS Framework etc.)
  • Relevant qualifications, for example CISSP or CISA.
