About the Role: Our prestigious client is seeking a dynamic and skilled Splunk Platform Engineer to join their innovative and forward-thinking team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a variety of critical projects, ensuring optimal performance of the Splunk data/event platform across different departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- 🛠 Maintain and optimize Splunk platform for diverse client and delivery teams, including Security teams.
- 🚀 Onboard new data sources (Windows, Linux, Azure, SQL, etc.), focusing on data organization, parsing, and performance standards.
- 📊 Develop second and third-line user support, leveraging your expertise in SPLUNK and event management.
- 🖥 Craft and enhance Splunk searches, reports, dashboards, apps, and alerts.
- 🌐 Act as the go-to technical expert for various Splunk modules, influencing technical solutions for future projects.
Who You Are:
- 💼 Several years of experience in IT support roles.
- 📚 Deep knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, etc.)
- 🌍 Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, Load balancing).
- 🔍 Experience in Azure Cloud, VMware, Microsoft365, IT Security, or monitoring is a plus.
- 🚀 Initial experience with Splunk is desirable.
- 💡 Basic knowledge of Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or other programming languages.
- 📝 Familiarity with ITIL principles.
- 🗣 Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a bonus.
- 🎓 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
