Position Overview
As a Senior Premium Auditor - Worker's Compensation, you will oversee a portfolio of complex audits, ensuring precise premium validation and compliance with regulatory and underwriting standards. This is a remote role with limited travel where you'll serve as a resource in risk assessment, delivering actionable insights and an exceptional policyholder experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end execution of premium audits, including review and analysis of financial records to verify payroll and premium base.
Apply expert judgement to determine appropriate risk classifications and evaluate the operational scope of insureds.
Generate clear, accurate audit reports using proprietary software, adhering to regulatory and internal standards.
Engage insureds with professionalism and clarity to explain findings, address discrepancies, and build trusted relationships.
Identify and escalate significant changes in risk exposure or classification to underwriting for further review.
Efficiently manage scheduling and time allocation to maintain audit timelines and minimize policyholder disruption.
Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and compliance efforts.
Qualifications & Expertise
4+ years of hands-on experience conducting complex / large Worker's Compensation audits
Deep understanding of audit methodologies, worker's compensation classifications, and applicable regulatory frameworks
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficient in interpreting financial documents and calculating premiums
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to diverse audiences
Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally for on-site audits (primarily day trips)
California state audit experience with WCIRB certification is preferred
