Snr Java Developer - Remote / Surrey - Up to £700pd Inside IR35
Oliver James' leading insurance client are currently recruiting for Senior Java Developers to join the team and support on a major IT transformation programme. This ambitious piece will focus on moving from legacy architecture to the cloud and will be a combination of lift and shift and re-platforming some of the architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Substantial focus on moving applications to the cloud (Full cloud native / Microservices / API gateways on Azure and AWS)
- Focus on the full SDLC and deploying onto the cloud
- This position will be fully hands on technical but will focus on mentoring some junior members of the team
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of good software development principles
- Good experience with back end development - Java 8
- Strong technical cloud platform experience - Terraform / Containerisation
- Any experience with applying InfoSec techniques into Development standards will be advantageous
- Previous experience working with international teams and focus on driving teams processes
