We're partnered with a mid-sized insurance carrier who is growing their Excess Casualty team. We have four (4) openings available across two (2) levels. You will come in with existing excess casualty experience across bodily injury, fatalities, product liability, liquor liability, New York labor law (NYLL), and/or construction liability etc.

This role is hybrid, with the expectation of working in office 3 days a week. We have locations in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, and Atlanta available.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Investigate, evaluate, and manage high severity claims in excess casualty lines, providing detailed reports as necessary.
• Guide junior claims specialists in their respective assignments and provide expert counseling on complex cases.
• Work collaboratively with the underwriting team to assess risks and recommend necessary adjustments to policy terms and conditions based on the data from claims.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records concerning claim status, consultations, and pertinent financial information.
• Consistently stay informed about industry changes, legal requirements, and best practices in claims management.

Key Skills:

• Demonstrable experience as a Claims Adjuster, particularly with complex and high-value casualty claims.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with claimants, witnesses, and professionals from related fields.
• Proficient in using claims management software and other related information technology systems.
• Resilient in working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
