Senior Data Engineer | Databricks | InsureTech

My client is an innovative and dynamic InsureTech firm who are seeking a talented Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in building a state-of-the-art Databricks Lakehouse from scratch. If you have experience with Azure, Databricks, SQL, ETL, and a passion for transforming the insurance industry through data, we want to hear from you!

My client are at the forefront of technological innovation in the insurance sector. They are on a mission to leverage data-driven insights to create customised, efficient, and cost-effective insurance solutions. Their team is comprised of experts from various backgrounds, and we're looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join us on this exciting journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain a cutting-edge Databricks Lakehouse to centralize and optimize their data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient ETL processes.
  • Work with Azure services to ensure data storage, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes within the insurance sector to inform data strategies and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building and maintaining data lakes or data warehouses using Databricks on Azure.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and ETL processes.
  • Recent experience working within the Insurance Industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific data and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
