A leading global life and annuities insurer is seeking a Reinsurance Accountant to join their team. With their high growth model, they have become key players in the insurance space. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with over $1B in AUM that is going through transformations, integrations and innovations.

Job: Reinsurance Accountant

Location: 100% Remote

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Lead contact for all reinsurance accounting and reporting related matters
• Responsible for financial close
• Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Contribute to new strategic initiatives for the business including system implementations
• Supervise, mentor and train staff on reinsurance policies and practices
• Implementation and research of all reinsurance treatment for transactions
• Build and maintain internal controls

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor in Accounting
• 2+ years accounting experience
• Life Insurance experience a must
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, & Statutory Accounting Principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Compensation: $100K - $135K base + bonus
