We're seeking an experienced Auto Claims Representative to handle commercial auto claims involving fire, theft, and total loss. This remote role requires strong investigative skills, knowledge of state-specific practices, and the ability to deliver exceptional service while resolving complex claims efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct commercial auto claim investigations in a remote setting.
Handle all components of first-party fire, theft, and total loss claims.
Identify and resolve coverage issues through thorough investigation.
Detect and report red flags for potential fraud.
Collaborate with independent appraisers and specialized experts such as arson investigators, law enforcement, forensic accountants, and attorneys.
Review and assess claim estimates, evidence, and expert reports.
Negotiate towing and storage fees.
Accurately determine damage valuations and establish proper reserves.
Process timely and accurate payments.
Take detailed recorded statements from insureds and claimants.
Maintain claim files in accordance with best practice guidelines.
Obtain and maintain all necessary state licenses.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience handling First Party Fire, Theft, and Total Loss auto claims.
Strong experience in coverage investigations and writing clear, professional coverage letters.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong computer proficiency and time management abilities.
Ability to independently prioritize tasks and switch focus as needed.
Demonstrated success working remotely and managing claim files with limited supervision.
Bachelor's degree required.
