Role: Reinsurance Accountant
Location: Remote
Compensation: $110K- $150K base + bonus
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review, reconcile, and analyze premium and claims data from third-party program partners
- Manage direct and ceded ledger entries and reinsurance statements
- Resolve account discrepancies with clients and internal teams
- Drive monthly close and audit readiness processes
- Use advanced Excel skills to model and validate large datasets
- Interpret financial data to support forecasting and risk strategies
- Provide strategic recommendations based on data trends
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to replace manual processes
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 5+ years of experience in insurance or reinsurance
- Familiarity with general ledger systems and reinsurance structures
- Advanced Excel proficiency a must; SQL or BI tools a strong plus
