Job Description:
As a Data Project Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and leading data projects within the Life Insurance division. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of data projects, ensuring successful execution, and driving impactful results. This is a leadership position that requires a deep understanding of data management, project management best practices, and expertise in the life insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of data projects within the Life Insurance division, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, actuaries, underwriters, and IT professionals, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverable.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project milestones.
- Identify potential risks and issues and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Manage project resources, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to team members.
- Track and report project status, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, to stakeholders and senior management.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to data management and life insurance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the data project management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration).
- Proven experience (8+ years) in leading and managing data projects, preferably in the insurance industry with a focus on life insurance.
- Strong knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and data integration.
- Solid experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
