Job Title: Product Owner (Contract - Remote/Hybrid, Europe-Based)

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Engagement Type: Contract only (No permanent employees)
Location: Remote or hybrid within Europe


Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to support the delivery of a new in-house data management solution. This is a strategic, business-critical project replacing legacy tools, and the role requires close collaboration with development teams and stakeholders across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the product roadmap and backlog

  • Gather and translate business requirements into actionable user stories

  • Collaborate with Agile development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery

  • Align priorities and manage dependencies across other product teams

  • Communicate with senior stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment

  • Oversee the rollout of the solution to downstream users and technical teams


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Mural

  • Experience in energy trading is a plus, but not mandatory


Additional Information

  • Contractors only - we are only able to engage independent contractors or freelancers for this role

  • Must be based in Europe for time zone and collaboration purposes
