Summary:
Our client, an employee-owned asset management firm, is searching for a Private Equity Assistant Controller to join their dynamic team. This position entails managing the financial reporting and accounting for private equity funds, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in private equity financial management, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee third party administrator reviewing quarterly and monthly financial
- Review calculations including waterfalls, capital calls, and distributions
- Analyze management fees, carried interest, and IRRs
- Perform and assist with SEC filings and compliance reporting
- Assist external auditors in annual audit, tax returns, K-1s, and 1099s
- Assist with corporate accounting, investor relations, and client reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance, CPA (plus)
- 4-5 years of public accounting experience (Wealth & Asset Management)
- 1-3 years of private equity experience (plus)
- Experience with Mutual Funds (plus)
