Life Claims Handler - Life Reinsurance - Luxembourg

Oliver James is exclusively helping a leading independent reinsurance group to find their new Claims Handler to be based in their Headquarters in Luxembourg.

They are looking for their next top claims specialist with around 3 to 6+ year's experience. The ideal candidate will have a first successful experience in assessment and management of incoming claims within an insurance company.

You will be tasked with actively reviewing and assessing incoming claims to determine their validity based on the policy terms, conditions, and exceptions. With your Manager, you will be in constant communication with local & international underwriters and brokers, to ensure top-class delivery of claims adjusting matters in line with the local regulatory requirement. Your role will require to assist in the preparation of internal LLNs (Large Loss Notifications) to ensure timely and accurate booking of major claims and to offer support to the Claims Manager and other departments like Underwriting teams when required.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, Insurance or related fields

- Fluent English

- Strong communication skills

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to claims delivery is ideal.
