Job Summary: As an IT Support Technician based in Liege, you will be responsible for providing efficient and responsive technical support to end-users of our client in the biotechnology sector. You will be the primary point of contact to resolve IT issues, address support requests, and ensure the smooth operation of computer systems. Your role will involve diagnosing problems, providing appropriate solutions, and ensuring a positive user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users in Liege through channels such as phone, email, chat, and in-person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring incidents are resolved within defined timelines
- Guide users in the use of systems, software, and computer equipment
- Install, configure, and update software and applications based on the needs of Liege users
- Manage support requests through a ticket tracking system, ensuring detailed documentation of issues and solutions
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve more complex issues and implement long-term solutions
- Train users on best practices in IT security and effective use of computer resources
- Participate in the planning and implementation of IT projects to improve infrastructure and support processes specifically for our Liege client in the biotechnology sector
Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including LAN, TCP/IP, and security infrastructure
- Advanced experience with Windows domains and Active Directory
- In-depth knowledge of cloud solutions such as Microsoft Azure and O365
- Mastery of network printing environments
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in French and English with users of varying technical proficiency
- Developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Certification or training in IT support would be an asset
