Position Objective:

• Provide the leadership, vision, and direction for the Investment Applications team within the Group Applications function, ensuring they are operated efficiently and effectively and conforming to best practice governance processes and with the appropriate team capabilities in place to support the business needs
• Responsibility to agree and monitor operational financial and headcount budgets for the Group Investment applications.
  • Own the overall investment technology architecture and landscape
  • Bring in future-looking technologies and applications to realize strategic directions
  • Develop future technology strategy, roadmap and implementation planning for Group Investment technology - Group Investment oversees USD in assets across fixed Income, equity, derivates, private equity etc, operating in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Act as a Technology delivery lead for implementing - Blackrock Aladdin implementation and BNY back-office platform

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with Architecture and Security team in completing all the technology governance teams.
• Provide technical leadership in solution design, integration strategy, working with product and implementation vendors, internal development team.

Data Platforms

• Work with data teams to tailor Group function data platform architecture to meet Investment needs.
• Work with Investment team to define input data sources, end to end architecture and delivery roadmap.

Solution Design

• Partner with the business to gain deep understanding of its strategy, processes and requirements. Translate the business requirements into functional requirements, recommend and select the most optimal solution, and communicate the architecture to the business
• Apply technical expertise to create end-to-end solutions and own the portfolio technology architecture and landscape, with consideration to the total cost of ownership, data management, security, integration, infrastructure and performance
• Work with Enterprise Architect to define key principles, governance, compliance and policy to designing technology architecture for the organization
  Work closely with portfolio delivery in solution design and BAU projects; pair up with portfolio leads to conduct strategic planning per portfolio; set up joint committee with other enterprise architects for knowledge and practice sharing for consensus and community support
• Facilitate system implementation particularly during solution design and BAU projects related to the review of future solution roadmap

Thought Leadership

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and adopt a forward-looking approach to develop future technology roadmap and implementation planning (short to mid-term for 3-5 years)
• Manage and maintain relationships with third party vendors
