Oliver James is seeking for a new Head of Orchestration within Data & Analytics for a financial institution.

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Orchestration to join the Analytics, Insights and Reporting division of our current client.
In this strategic role, you will lead and transform their current Orchestration team into a professional and seamless value delivering entity.
You will manage a team of IT professionals across several locations and be responsible for managing relationships with outsourcing partners.
As the Head of Orchestration, you will organize and grow feature management, release management, testing management, and deployment processes towards mature and continuously improving ones. You will promote the importance and reliability of IT delivery within the Tribe and beyond, acting as an ambassador for cross-department collaboration.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid working experience in leadership positions within a setup of Delivery Coordination and Management department. You must have a proven track record in large IT organization transformation and managing relationships with offshore partners. A strong experience in setting the strategic vision, direction, and standards for championing a best-in-class customer service is also a real asset.
You will be responsible for defining, leading, and executing the strategic direction while reaching objectives and key results. You must steer the transformation and improvement of the Orchestration team and drive a fixed capacity and prioritization mindset for realistic and reliable delivery commitment. You must also be an ambassador and enforcer of discipline and structure in day-to-day work.
In addition, you will be responsible for making sure relevant knowledge is created within the new organization and developing capabilities for quick fixes of production issues. You must have a "can-do" attitude and focus on getting things done, building relationships both internally and externally with key stakeholders at all levels.

You must be able to build a high-performing team, ensure it is focused, motivated, and inspired to achieve the objectives.

You must also work comfortably in group/collaborative settings with business executives and stakeholders, handle multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines, and remain calm under pressure and in the face of uncertainty.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, decision-making capacity in complex and uncertain environments, an in-depth understanding of business strategy, needs, and challenges, deep experience in managing large and complex programs, the ability to motivate the team, servant leadership for the Tribe leadership and delivery teams, organizational skills and a structured mindset, autonomous problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders of various and high seniority.
If you have a breadth of business and technical understanding, gained over long exposure (over 10 years at least) to a wide variety of infrastructure and application projects, and the interpersonal skills to influence decisions taken at a very senior level, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
