Our client is a leading player in the financial industry, known for its commitment to innovation, excellence, and delivering exceptional financial services to our clients. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Credit Risk.

As the Head of Credit Risk, you will play a pivotal role in managing and mitigating credit risk across our organization. You will lead a team of credit risk professionals, develop and implement credit risk strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including IFRS9 and A-IRB models.

Your job

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of credit risk professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement credit risk policies, strategies, and procedures to minimize credit losses and optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of credit risk models, including IFRS9 and A-IRB models.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Finance, Compliance, and Legal, to ensure alignment with risk management objectives.
  • Monitor and report on key credit risk indicators and metrics to senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in credit risk management and incorporate them into our risk management framework.
  • Participate in regulatory examinations and audits related to credit risk management.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in credit risk management within a financial institution.
  • At least 3 years of management experience, leading a team of at least 3 FTEs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with IFRS9 and A-IRB models.
  • Excellent understanding of credit risk assessment, modeling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement credit risk strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
