We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Specialist for an 8-month contract assignment to support end-to-end payroll operations across multiple regions. This is a turnkey role for a self-starter who can jump in and manage payroll processes with minimal oversight. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll for a population of approximately 3,800 employees across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process and review payroll for ~3,800 employees across multiple geographies
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies
Partner with Finance, HR, and external vendors to manage payroll calendars, reporting, and audits
Manage payroll adjustments, off-cycle payments, and reconciliations
Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Maintain meticulous records for audits and compliance purposes
Required Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in payroll processing, including U.S. and Canadian payroll (required)
Experience with European payroll is a strong plus
Demonstrated ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, global environment
Strong knowledge of statutory requirements and payroll best practices
Familiarity with multi-country payroll systems and vendors (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, etc.)
High attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting payroll populations across EMEA regions
Global payroll certification (FPC, CPP, or equivalent)
This is a contract role with a defined term of 8 months. We're looking for someone who is immediately available and turnkey ready to contribute from day one.
