We are representing a $60b AUM alternative asset manager based in Downtown Chicago. They are seeking an experienced individual to join their fund accounting department. This role is a hybrid between fund accounting and FP&A. This role is 3-2 hybrid and has a competitive compensation and benefits package.

• Manage and reconcile fund accounting activities, including daily, monthly, and quarterly calculations of net asset values (NAV), income, and expenses.
• Prepare quarterly and annual forecasts.
• Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and other performance metrics to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare month end reports utilizing SOX controls reporting
• Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders (investor relations, to resolve any accounting discrepancies or inquiries

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of experience, specifically within public accounting.
• Experience within financial services or investment management is preferred.
• SEC experience is a plus.
