Our Insurance client is looking to engage a number of Data Science professionals on a day rate contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong academics ideally combined with Actuarial and/or Insurance experience.
Our client is flexible on background so if you have experience in R, Python, SQL warehousing, AI, Machine learning or other Data Science skills, please do apply for a deeper discussion.
You will support major data projects with a range of ambitions. These could include model development in R or Python, or machine learning initiatives. Specific project deliverables will depend on the chosen consultants specific experience.
Applicants with Machine Learning experience could support specifically on a project to implement a long term solution.
The client is looking for the contractors to start asap, ideally within the next couple of months so please apply today!
Start: ASAP - ideally by end of October or sooner.
Duration: 6-12 months + Extensions
Location: UK wide home working. You MUST be UK tax resident and hold UK right to work to be considered.
Status: Outside IR35
Required Experience
- Higher level academics such as Actuarial qualifications (qualified actuary, part qualified actuary), PhD or relevant Masters.
- Advanced analytical skills
- Knowledge of Data Science or Data Engineering languages.
- Knowledge of appropriate programming languages and software used in actuarial or insurance models such as R, Python, PowerBI
- Machine Learning techniques are desirable
- Previous experience in a Data Science role within insurance is highly desirable.
