Cyber Security Operations Engineer

Oliver James is partnering with a key client in the Swiss public sector as they expand their cyber security team. Interested in being a part of something new? Their Cyber Defense Center (CDC) is in its early stages, offering a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of a security function. What you'll be doing:

• Help build the Security Operations Center. You won't just follow a plan-you'll create it.
• Oversee the operation and performance of cutting-edge security systems, ensuring they run at peak efficiency.
• Respond to cyber incidents and address vulnerabilities before they escalate. You'll be the first responder when it matters most.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of IT, CISO, and other teams to shape the security strategy and align it with broader company goals.
• Stay ahead of the curve by exploring emerging technologies and developing a roadmap for future growth.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in SOC operations or SIEM engineering.
• Ideally, familiarity with Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
• A completed IT education, paired with solid experience in IT security.
• Strong communication skills, able to bridge the gap between technical teams and business leaders.
• Fluency in both German and English.
