Cyber Security Consultant/Engineer / Initial 6-month contract / Fully remote / Outside IR35 (Competitive rate)

Oliver James' leading FS client are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant/Engineer to come in and be solely responsible for deploying & configuring cyber security tools within the cloud environment using AWS & other Security related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Managing critical security controls (e.g., web and email, MDM, IdAM, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing)
• Management and oversight of the Incident Detection & Response
• Managing of the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle and engaging with local IT teams to executive resolution activity
• Investigating suspected and actual security incidents in accordance with the security incident management standard, produce reports with recommendations, and support any remediation activity required.

Key skills required:

• Experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, authentication systems, log management, and security content filtering tools - email and web
• Experience across Cloud transformation using AWS.
• Proven experience within a Cyber Security Engineering/Consultancy role
• Professional certification such as Security , SSCP, CISM or other relevant information security credentials
