The firm focuses on meeting the risk, capital, and operational needs of its clients through tailored solutions in product development, underwriting, capital strategies, and in-force transactions. With a strong financial foundation, the company is well-positioned to manage some of the largest life and annuity transactions in the market.


Position Summary:

The Finance and Investments Counsel will support the company's investment, finance, and capital management functions. This role reports directly to the Group Chief Legal Officer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead legal documentation and processes related to investment matters (e.g., investment management agreements, custodial arrangements, and asset servicing).

  • Draft, review, and negotiate relevant documentation with external parties, and manage internal coordination and risk review.

  • Support corporate hedging and derivative strategies, including ISDA documentation and compliance.

  • Deliver written and oral presentations to senior leadership.


Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Licensed and in good standing with the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction.

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience focused on investments, asset management, or insurance law

  • Ability to provide sound, commercial legal guidance in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
