An innovative workers compensation insurance provider seeking a dynamic professional for a Controller opening. This Hybrid/Remote role in VA is offering up to $135K.
Location: Virginia
Compensation: $110 - $135K (Can be flexible for the right candidate)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with Statutory Reporting GAAP
- Ensure accurate and timely Property & Casualty Regulatory Reporting NAIC filings
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect and analyze financial data
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Support financial audits and regulatory examinations
- Stay updated with industry regulations and changes in accounting standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and engaging financial reporting and operations teams in fast-paced results driven organizations, and experience with budget preparation
- Preferred Work Experiences: minimum 2 years public accounting experience; Property & Casualty insurance industry experience
- Experience with the following technologies preferred: Essbase, OBIEE, VENA Solutions, PeopleSoft and PowerBI
- Identification of areas of risk and generation of solutions to mitigate risk
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously to deliver results
