Oliver James have partnered with a leading Life Insurer to recruit for a senior Compliance Officer to join a strong and growing Compliance function.
This position will report directly into the HOC and will take an inch wide, mile deep approach to all things regulatory compliance. Along with a BAU this role will also have a strong focus on project work with the wider change management team also.
The successful candidate can expect a varied and challenging remit which will focus on the following;
- maintain, optimise, and stay abreast of all industry and company compliance and regulations as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standards and monitor the introduction of proposed, new, or amended compliance obligations as set out in relevant legislation, regulations and standard.
- liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders in order to ensure the business is operating in a fully compliant manner with all guidelines and laws set out.
- Assess the impact of new or amended compliance obligations and assist in initiating processes to make any required changes to practices, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide advice and assistance on compliance issues to various business areas and support a positive compliance culture within the business.
The successful candidate will ideally be coming from an Insurance background with a particular focus on Internal Audit or Regulatory compliance along with being LCOI/ACOI approved.
