Job Title: Claims Technician
Duration: Permanent
Rate/Salary: Up to £40,000 annual salary
Location: Fully remote working (occasional travel into the Leeds or London office depending on preference)
The Role:
- Overseeing and completing production of new claims files and ensuring they are complete in line with defined standards
- Reviewing and assessing more complex claims anticipating any potential issues/queries and deciding on action required
- Ensuring compliance with FCA Guidelines and Group rules and procedures, including maintaining accurate records
- Providing regular feedback to Claims Manager on portfolio of claims, current status and current processing volumes
- Escalating contentious issues/complex claims to Claims Manager or Claims Director when outside
The Candidate:
- Lloyd's Insurance industry experience highly desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of the general insurance market and principles
- Understanding of London market claims practices, processes and procedures including systems and relevant documentation
- Knowledge and understanding of some or all of the following claims areas; Commercial Property, Professional Indemnity, Marine/Cargo, Household, Motor Fleet, Public & Product Liability, Employers Liability insurance business and markets
