Claims Handler Junior
Oliver James is looking for Claims handler for a leading Belgian financial services group, providing a comprehensive range of insurance and banking products and services to individual, business, and public sector customers.
As a Claims Handler specializing in property claims, you will manage a portfolio of property claims from notification to settlement. You will ensure that claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Your role is pivotal in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the trust of our clients.
Your responsibilities
As a Claims handler you will need:
- Receive, assess, and process property claims per policy terms.
- Conduct investigations and liaise with relevant parties.
- Evaluate and negotiate settlements within authority levels.
- Ensure accurate documentation and communication.
- Provide professional and empathetic support to clients, maintaining clear communication on claim status.
- Resolve inquiries promptly.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements, maintain accurate records, and report potential fraud.
- Collaborate with internal departments for efficient processing.
- Contribute to process improvements and stay updated with industry trends.
Your Profile
- Graduate degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Native Dutch speaker with fluency in French; knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Ability to assess and process complex information accurately and efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
