Complex Claims Examiner required by leading global insurance business offering long term career opportunities and the chance to work with a global leader in the industry!
The role:
- Handling Employees' Compensation claims
- Managing key claims handling enquiry, coverage determination, quantum analysis and legal liability assessment, and providing a consistently strong standard of customer service
- Effective vendor management on complex claims within a personal allocation
- Continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance Review processes
Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience within insurance claims (candidates from Paralegal or Loss Adjusting background keen to move to a Claims Examiner role can also be considered)
- Employee Compensation specialty experience OR Casualty specialty experience and keen to transition to EC
- Familiar with provisions of the Hong Kong Employees' Compensation Ordinance and relevant case law on EC and common law employers' liability
- Ability to form preliminary view on policy coverage, EC and common law liability and quantum, formulate case strategy with a view to minimize use of external lawyers
- Cantonese or Mandarin speaking (ESSENTIAL)
