We are looking for candidates with a strong finance background who can demonstrate a mix of operational finance, project management, project based transformation and/or change management experience and skills.

Main responsibilities

Working with a wide different range of clients with different challenges and helping them find solutions.

Being responsive to and anticipating clients' needs, providing strategic and relevant insight.

Quickly establishing an understanding of our clients' business, and the challenges they face.

Lead the direction of a project and liaising with clients to achieve desired outcomes

Project planning and management to support the Finance Operations & Services Team's project based work.

Taking ownership of the delivery of high quality engagements from planning to delivery including identifying and manning risk.

Manage, support and mentor junior members of the team in order to deliver the objectives of projects and to develop the skills of team members.

Working effectively in diverse teams and help to build an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

Building relationships across service lines and geographies to deliver market and client focused solutions.

Identifying and optimising further opportunities with clients when delivering existing work and acting as a trusted partner.

Help to grow the business by developing proposals and create opportunities for the group.

Driving continues improvement through innovation and transformation, embracing change and challenging the way we do things to develop new ways of working.

Supporting the team in producing internal management information.

Actively participate in internal industry events and training sessions.

Being part of a wider community helping to grow the department and develop our strategy as part of the leadership group.

Requirements:

A relevant degree, or equivalent experience.

ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA qualified or equivalent.

The ability to present client data in a clear and concise format.

A passion for delivering high quality complex projects including effective planning, project, financial and people management.

Excellent networking and influencing skills.

The ability to travel to client sites as required by this position.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

A proven track record in establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with senior clients.

Capability of assuming different roles, concerned with developing others and building and maintaining effective relationships.

Experience of working in an audit or finance advisory capacity is preferable however for the right candidate, experience of working as a finance business partner or in a line role will be considered.

Strong Finance Transformation/ or technical accounting experience and experience of working with a CFO and the senior stakeholders of the Finance function.

Proven ability to lead, manage and work effectively in teams.
