An Insurer/ Reinsurer acquisition business is looking for a Claims and Commutations Assistant Manager to join their dynamic and growing team in Asia. This role is suitable for someone who has a strong interest in Property and Casualty claims, with technical expertise within Casualty and Engineering.
The ideal candidate will be handling claims, and be involved in commutation- on the job training is provided. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business that is gaining a foothold in the Asia Market. Responsibilities of this role includes manage a portfolio of large claims across different classes of business both Treaty and Facultative claims of all classes, assessment of adequate reserves, determine coverage and the correct amount of the loss, and claim settlement, investigation of losses to final claims settlement. You will be involved in mentoring junior claims executives and working closely with external stakeholders/ specialists.
- At least 6 years' experience in Reinsurance or Casualty Claims environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Good team player
- Excellent stakeholder management andcommunication skills
- Strong computer/systems literacy including first class Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
