Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading insurer with ambitious growth plans in their search for an Annuities Reinsurance Actuary to join one of the UK offices in London, Edinburgh or Birmingham.

Within this role you will be responsible for checking/reviewing the technical accuracy of Reinsurance Accounts reports and Collateral Valuations. You will review annual cleanse materials, including data changes, premium calculations and surrender amounts to ensure technical accuracy. You will also develop bespoke excel modelling tools to validate on-boarding and work with the New Business Reinsurance team to ensure all new contracts are operationally viable.

Role requirements:

• NNQ/Qualified Actuary
• Good technical reinsurance knowledge from a pensions/life/longevity reinsurance background
• Commercial knowledge of pension de-risking products including bulk annuities and longevity swaps would be desirable but is not essential
