JOB TITLE: Actuarial Function Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Actuarial Function
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The candidate will work as Actuarial Function Specialist and will manage with the team all the activities connected with the role of 2nd Line Control Function of the Company.
The candidate should have at least 3 years' experience and proactively work in a dynamic fast-paced environment; previous experience in actuarial consulting firms or similar role in Insurance Companies would be a plus.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
- Analyse and manage all the Solvency and Liabilities framework
- Prepare the documentation to support Actuarial Function evaluation:
- Verify the adeguacy of the methodologies adopted on the liabilities estimation
- Verify the adeguacy of the assumption underlying the actuarial model
- Verify the adeguacy of the technical provisions & the quality of the data
- Oversee the entire process of technical liabilities calculation
- Support the Company 1st line functions on New Business Development expressing underwriting opinion
- Analyse Reinsurance treaties
- Coordinate with Risk Management team for sensitivities analyses
- Contribute to the effective application of the Risk Management system
- Ensure that a robust policies, processes and procedures framework is compliant with the Solvency II Directive
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong written and verbal English language
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with different stakeholders (1st line Functions, Auditors, Risk Management)
- Work experience across multiple life business lines
- Ability to managed advanced actuarial software (knowledge of MG-Alfa Suite is a plus)
- General understanding of IVASS/EIOPA regulation, IFRS17 Accounting Standards
- Ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently with strong attention to details
- Ability to take initiative on tasks and responsibilities
- Collaborative and able to proactively work in a team as well as independently
- Proficient in MS Office package, Microsoft SQL, VBA
