**Position Overview:**

**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and related disclosures for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, GAAP, STAT, and IFRS standards.
2. **Regulatory Compliance:** Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance accounting regulations and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance and accounting regulations, including STAT and IFRS requirements.
3. **Process Improvement:** Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and data analysis.
4. **Team Leadership:** Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals and individual growth.
5. **Audit Support:** Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors, assisting in the preparation and completion of annual audits, ensuring a smooth and successful audit process.

**Qualifications:**
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience in the insurance industry.
3. Strong knowledge of insurance accounting principles, including GAAP, STAT, and IFRS.
4. Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
