Principal Responsibilities
- Reporting into Head, Investment Services, deputise and co-lead with fellow AVPs in managing and ensuring business as usual in the area of Investment Services
- Ensure compliance to the investment mandate and other regulations, and the adoption and implementation of sound internal controls that are in line with company's standards
- Review and modify operational processes undertaken in investment services to improve efficiency and reduce risks of errors
- Prepare and oversee full life-cycle of ILP Sub funds covering but not limited to trade order placement, settlement, NAV valuation and reconciliation
- Oversee and ensure timely submission of internal, external and regulatory reports for both Unit linked and non-unit linked portfolios
- Prepare and review daily cash management and ensure sufficient funding and float
- Prepare and review ILP Fund performance, expense ratio management
- Front and lead end to end life cycle for Funds Semi/Audited Annual reports population and submission
- Front and liaises with Audit on all investment services and reporting matters and ensure timely responses and closure
- Prepare and review portfolio accounts opening, fund manager transition and new fund manager onboarding
- Manage KYC/AML requirements from fund managers as and when required
- Mentor and coach junior staffs on day to day matters
- Lead and support multiple product launches, projects, UAT and senior stakeholders request in terms of Investment Operations
- Prepare and review funds subscription document for submission covering multiple asset classes as such REITS, Private Equity, Infrastructure Debt etc
- Contracts review, negotiation in the capacity of investment services covering Operating memorandum, investment management agreement etc
- Work with business risk and control team to identify risks through periodic oversight on processes and service providers
- Support Finance department for Financial year end closing for investment related information
Requirements
- Strong Development Background
- Good understanding of Private Banking Domain
- Strong working experience of Avaloq platform
- Strong knowledge in scripting languages such as PL SQL
- Candidate with 6-8 experiences in investment operations/accounting/reporting functions preferably within Insurance Industry
- Ability to work under pressure as well as tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and organise work load while working in an agile manner
- Comfortable and able to make sound decision in conflicting environment
- Strong mentoring skills in coaching junior staffs/interns
- Strong senior stakeholder's management skill
- Strong risk and control mindset
- Strong Microsoft excel skills
- Strong report writing skill
- Able to work under minimal supervision and deliver quality output
- Educational qualifications: Diploma/University Graduate or other relevant professional qualifications
