Our client, a global consulting firm, is currently looking to add to their existing sustainability team with the hiring of a Senior Sustainability Consultant.

The Senior Sustainability Consultant will be a key member of the sustainability team, bringing with them industry experience and expertise delivering sustainability scopes of work across a diverse range of clients and projects. Client work is an important function of this role and the successful candidate will require excellent project management skills along with technical depth in sustainability.

This role will also be involved in helping to grow and shape the firm's delivery of sustainability services to the Swiss market. This will involve business planning, pipeline management, team management and capacity building.
In addition, there are opportunities in this role to work with the regional sustainability leadership on matters related to sustainability, such as climate resilience, decarbonisation, circular economy etc at a country level.

What will I do?

• Manage and support the delivery of high-quality sustainability services for a variety of significant and complex projects.
• Author and reviewing technical reports spanning a variety of areas related to sustainability.
• Work in an environment where consultation, development of strategies and close collaboration with colleagues will be required to perform your role.
• Develop an approach to business development, pipeline planning and growth for the team, through collaboration with the Sustainability leadership team,

What will I bring?

• Recognised relevant qualifications (preferably at master's degree level) in science, engineering, sustainability management, project management or similar area.
• at least 6 years of of relevant industry experience in sustainability specifically. Experience in consulting is desirable but not a pre-requisite.
• Strong strategic, technical and / or analytical skills in subjects encompassing sustainability such as climate change risk, resilience and adaptation, decarbonisation, circular economy, social value, UN SDGs.
• Strong understanding of development projects and their project lifecycle, experience in effectively engaging multiple stakeholders concurrently, acting as the key facilitator for sustainability across large multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to discuss and advise client on the most common sustainability rating tools.
