Oliver James is supporting a leading Life Insurance client who require an actuarial contractor to support their protection pricing team
This is a day rate contract role. The client offers a welcoming and supportive environment, perfect for a career contractor or someone looking for their first contracting position
The ideal candidate will be a part qualified (at least) life actuary with previous experience in a pricing/commercial role. UK protection product knowledge is highly desirable
Location: London - ability to visit the office 1 or 2 days per week/fortnight would be welcome. Home working negotiable.
Duration: 3-6 month initial contract + extensions
Rate: £700 per day Umbrella rate (inside IR35)
Start Date: Notice period can be accommodated (ideally 1 month)
Role: Support the pricing manager in a range of activities including pricing strategy, distribution management, portfolio management, product development and other commercial actuarial work.
Required experience:
- Actuarial experience (part qualified as a minimum)
- Experience in a pricing role, ideally with knowledge of protection products
- Strong Excel, VBA skills
- Strong communication skills
