A global market and Lloyd's syndicate insurance business is looking for an Investments Reporting and Operations Assistant Analyst to join their busy Finance division. The company offer specialty insurance to a range of industries such as Aerospace, Marine, Healthcare, Property & Construction, and many more. As an Investments Reporting and Operations Assistant Analyst, you would be providing support for the daily operations of the fixed income investment portfolio.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Monitor investment operations processes ensuring they are effective and efficient
- Work closely with several arms of the business including Investment Managers, Compliance, Investments Reporting & Operations Analysts to ensure the funds are in adherence to investment management agreements.
- Support upkeep of the day to day operations for investments. Including, custodian accounts, trades management, position reconciliations and working to resolve any operations issues.
- Identify potential improvements in the investment operations processes to automate as much as possible.
- Support with investment monthly and quarterly close process by resolving any technical accounting issues.
- Preparing and positing journals into the general ledger
- Assist reporting teams on any queries regarding the reporting data
For this role you should be:
- Educated to degree level with at least a year working in a financial services setting
- Experience or exposure to either investment reporting or investment operations
- Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage time & meet deadlines
- Ability to problem solve
