Oliver James is delighted to be representing a leading Financial Services firm as they seek to appoint a Head of Financial Risk to the business.

This position will be reporting directly to the Head of Risk and advise on fund and regulatory risk reporting for a suite of UCITS and AIFs under management as well as the ManCo requirements. The successful candidate will be involved in the management of a small team that works with internal and external stakeholders, implementing the business Financial risk framework with local Irish requirements in relation to multiple fund types and business activities.

The successful candidate will also have responsibility but not limited to the following,

• Act as SME within the Risk Function on the design and implementation of fit-for-purpose scenarios and stress testing to support Portfolio Manager decision making and risk exposure analysis.
• Key point of contact with the Investment Team to ensure delivery of adequate risk reporting to the Investment Committee and Sub-Investment Groups
• Play a leading role within the Risk function on driving automation of risk reporting and key risk exposure analysis
• Ensuring an ethos of robust documentation and quality control within the reporting function
• Coaching and mentoring of junior staff as required

The successful candidate will gave a strong quantitative risk with particular exposure to Python, Matlab or R and a sound understanding of regulations UCITS/AIFMD and CRD.
