Data & Analytics Lead - Insurance
Data & Analytics Lead to manage a team of data professionals focused on delivering and maintaining data within the warehouse and reporting solutions. You will support the teams, through formal performance development as well as mentoring to develop data capabilities. You will manage all phases of small to large sized change and provide ongoing post implementation support. The Team Lead should encourage cross collaboration across Data & MI.
Responsibilities may include:
- Contribute to the development of the Data & MI team's direction and strategy
- Lead meetings, as required, in order to share and develop knowledge and best practice
- Manages the design, development, and implementation of a fit-for-purpose data solutions
- Responsible for managing the quality and integrity of information contained in the data warehouse and cubes undertaking root cause analysis where required
- Responsible for the development, maintenance, and prioritisation of Data Governance capabilities to meet business and stakeholder requirements
- Deliver, maintain, and establish capabilities that preserves the integrity of the warehouse and does not compromise data quality or the operation of the warehouse and reporting layer
You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience in designing full and complete solutions, producing specifications detailing solutions for approval by users and for technical use by developers and testers would be beneficial
- BI tools and experience in designing end user reporting solutions
- Experience using structured analytical techniques
- Experience within a data management environment with a hands-on business role or in an IT equivalent operational background
- Hands-on experience of database tools or languages (SQL/ PL-SQL/ Oracle/ Sybase) and a wide variety of (large volume) data sources
- Previous experience in insurance, preferably Lloyd's based would be beneficial
- Solid experience in a customer facing / support environment and training end users in data usage
