The role

During an intensive induction process, we start with core activities that you can master relatively quickly. We think it is important that you get to know the basics of the processes within Cash Department in this way. Of course, it is also nice for you and your colleagues if you can be productive immediately, and then quickly develop yourself to the desired level. Arriving at this phase, it is obvious that you provide support in improvement projects, which often have process improvement in a qualitative and quantitative sense as the goal. Given the size that the organization has achieved through the collaboration with others, it is only logical that smarter processes and systems in particular will help us move forward even more.

Daily Tasks

Together with colleagues you ensure the implementation of daily tasks and administrative activities:

  • For part of your time (~25%) you are responsible for application management, connections, developments and period closures in the SAP S/4HANA package, partly together with our partners.
  • You are the connector within the cash department who ensures that processes are aligned (both within the department, with the affiliated departments and our external partners), and concrete steps are taken in the various work processes, with ownership largely in your hands.
  • You provide support for purchases of foreign currency, letters of credit, cash flow forecasting
  • You are responsible for bank books and checking transactions and setting up the ERP package
  • You are responsible for executing the direct debits
  • Indirect management and control of external partner for administrative actions.
  • You are partly responsible for the period closures
  • You are jointly responsible for the (control of) data quality, and you are able to assess it
  • You can make complex connections between different data files related to MS Excel
  • You are healthy stubborn and don't let people walk all over you
  • In your position you report directly to the debtor administration and cash manager
  • You will provide support in setting up financial software packages including SAP S/4HANA, AS400 (IBM i) and FIS2000 for internal and external parties, therefore extensive experience with the SAP package is a requirement
  • You draw up recommendations for the optimization of business processes (standardization / automation / robotization) and ensure possible implementation thereof.
  • 1st point of contact of the cash department.

Desired skills and education.

  • Fluent in French and English, Dutch is a plus
  • Bachelor education in administration /accounting or work and thinking level.
  • You can work with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
  • You have experience with accounting packages, good knowledge of SAP is an advantage;
  • 2+ years of experience within a similar role

Affinity for ICT / automation is very important for functioning well in this role: knowing how to make the software work for you. Think of extensive experience with the MS Office package, specifically Excel skills. You are accurate and have well-developed analytical skills. You are also a good communicator with whom more complex matters can be discussed, can make recommendations and who can give clear memos and presentations about it. You know how to find a good balance between financial risks on the one hand and commercial interests on the other, and you show a great deal of willingness to learn and invest in your own professionalism. Finally, you have an affinity with the Food industry.
